LM Boelz’s instructive prepper and survival e-zine is out, and this is a guest post by her!
After watching a few of the prepper shows on TV I began to wonder what I would do in an emergency to take care of my family. The first thing I did was make a list of the normal day to day things I do and what is involved in doing them. Then I started to research how to do the very same thing without the luxury of clean water on tap or electricity or indoor plumbing. Some of the things I researched was how to cook the things I liked if I couldn’t get for instant ‘yeast for baking’ I now know how to make yeast out of normal foods I have on hand.
The thing is I’m not saying the world is going to catapult itself into an apocalypse but what if something did happen to knock up off grid for 3 days, a week or several months? Would you have the supplies on hand to take care of your family? Or the knowledge to survive on your own until things went back to normal.
Think about it no one thought Mt. Saint Helen’s was going to blow its top or that we would see flooding in the New Orleans area like we did. I would rather have some supplies on hand and knowledge on how to do things for myself and not need it then to need it and have to rely on others who are not willing to take on more people to feed and shelter.
To this end I have published a preppers & Survival E-Zine that I will post links, videos and articles in to help you be better prepared for the next flood, earthquake, tornado or manmade disaster. All at a low price of 99 cents.
